How to Register
To register for the 2009 ASLE Conference, please go to the registration page on the ASLE web site. In addition to the information provided on that page, please also note the following items:
Presenters
If you are scheduled to participate in the conference, please review the program to find the time of your session and proofread your name, affiliation, and presentation title.
Passports
Please remember that a valid passport is required to travel from the USA or other foreign country to Canada. Please make sure you have and bring a current passport on your journey.
Accommodations
Dormitory housing is available at the University of Victoria, and ASLE has also identified a conference hotel in downtown Victoria. These must be booked separately from registration, directly through the university or hotel. Information on these options and how to reserve them is available on the accommodation page.
Parking and Transportation
All registrants will receive a city transit pass to use on public transportation for the week. Parking on campus requires a permit, which can be obtained at automated parking kiosks in the campus lots for hourly ($1 CDN), daily ($6 CDN) or weekly ($24 CDN) rates. Transportation to and from the airport or ferry is on your own.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations of conference registrations must be made in writing to ASLE's Managing Director (info@asle.org).
Requests received by April 15, 2009, will receive a full refund, less a $25 processing fee, following the conclusion of the conference.
Requests received between April 16 and May 15, 2009, will receive a 50 percent refund of the registration fee, following the conclusion of the conference, but fees for field trips and the banquet will not be refunded.
After May 15, 2009, no refunds will be made.
