A PROSTITUTE KILLS HER LOVER
cont. 24 August 1898, Belle Adams' trial for killing Charles Kincaid was postponed for five weeks. It was delayed because a key witness had not yet returned from St. Michael and would not be available until the end of September. Fred Foss was the essential witness for Adams' defence; therefore it would be imperative for him to be present. 5 October 1898, On 5 October 1898, the Daily Colonist felt that it was necessary to report that Belle Adams' trial had been delayed until 6 October 1898. The trial was delayed because the Chief Justice had been detained on the mainland. Apparently, there had been a large gathering of people who were curious to hear about the sex trade worker who sawed through her boyfriend's jugular with razor in a jealous rage. Click HERE to see
