The University of Victoria and its predecessors Victoria College and the
Provincial Normal School are celebrating 100 years of post-secondary education.
· The art project was organized by UVic’s Faculty of Education: Dr. Tim
Hopper, Dr. Robert Dalton and Dr. Budd Hall, who is Dean of Education.
· The university worked with the 4 local elementary schools for several
months, promoting the concept and supporting teachers to convey the concept
to their students. · If sufficient funds are raised, this project could
result in a permanent connection between the schools in the participating
communities: Kabul, Suleimaniyah and Victoria.
