Graduate studentsInterested in graduate studies? Researchers in the McIndoe group gain experience across a range of disciplines. Organometallic chemistry, catalysis, (in)organic synthesis, analytical techniques, kinetics, mechanistic studies and mass spectrometry all represent aspects of our work. Graduates leave with a wide variety of employable skills. Please contact me if you would like to find out more. Formal details regarding eligibility for graduate students and how to apply can be found at the university's Graduate Admissions Office. If you would like a standard application package sent to you, send an email to the Chemistry Department's graduate secretary (chemgsec@uvic.ca) mentioning my name and your interest. Undergraduate studentsAt UVic? There are always opportunities for Chem 298, 398, 498 and 499 projects within the group. Elsewhere in Canada, and interested in spending the summer in Victoria? Why not apply for an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award in Chemistry? Postdoctoral ResearchersThose thinking of applying for external funding to work in my lab are encouraged to do so. Most have strict eligibility criteria; a couple of examples are listed below.
The Community of Science website has a large database of funding opportunities available to would-be researchers, and is well worth browsing. © JS McIndoe, Department of Chemistry, University of Victoria · Updated 1 May, 2012 |
