Tactical/Skill Development:

In this lesson we are focusing on two main tactical abilities:  Evading an opponent and Marking/Guarding an opponent.

Evasion - Moving in a way which allows the player to move away from an opponent

Marking/Guarding - Defending against an opponent who may or may not have the ball

These abilities address the tactical problems of where and when to move in relation to a player who may or may not have the ball.

The skills used to address these tactical problems that are being developed in this lesson include base, receiving and sending the ball, and retaining the ball.
