State and apply the Product Rule and Quotient Rule
Derive Derivative Rules for sums, constant multiples, and powers
Derivative of Trig functions
Video2.4.1.Product Rule and Quotient Rule.
Now we will state and apply formulas for the derivative of a product or a quotient.
Video2.4.2.Derivative of Trig Functions.
In this video we don’t derive the derivative of \(\sin(x)\) and \(\cos(x)\text{,}\) but we assert their derivatives and analyze their graphs to test the reasonableness of these assertion. Finally, we show how to use product and quotient rules to compute the derivative of other trig functions.
Post-video reflection.
In this video we didn’t formally derive the derivative of any of \(\sin(x)\) or \(\cos(x)\text{.}\) If you want to see that, check out this video by Dr. Grazia-Saz 1
