PE 452 - Teaching Strategies for Games in Physical Education

The participants in these courses will examine innovative methods for teaching and assessing games from a teaching games for understanding approach (TGfU).  Through practical experiences and examination of the current professional literature in teaching games in schools, the course will conceptualize how to teach the skills and tactics of games advocated by the BC IRP for PE.  Participants will create and test resources to teach games from grade 4 to 12.  A particular focus will be given to the grades levels of teachers taking the course - elementary, middle and high school ages.
