Amir grew up in Kurdistan, west of Iran. He received his PhD in chemistry in 2005 from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran. He is currently working as a faculty member of department of chemistry in Shiraz University. Amir joined the Manners group in 2019 as a visiting faculty focusing on Poly(ferrocenylsilane)s membrane synthesis. In his free time, Amir enjoys mountain climbing, biking, camping, reading novels, and spending time with family and friends.
