Hayley was born in Vancouver, BC and moved to Victoria in 2016 to complete her B.Sc in Chemistry for the Medical Sciences (Hons.). She completed her thesis with the Rosenberg group at UVIC, which involved the synthesis of novel phosphenium complexes for potential uses in catalytic systems. She then decided to join the Manners group to continue her studies in Chemistry, where she researches the potential medicinal applications of polymer micelles. In her free time, Hayley enjoys going to the beach, singing badly, watching the office, and trying new beers.
