Matt grew up in Surrey, UK before venturing north to do a BSc in Chemistry at Newcastle University. He then moved to the University of Bristol, where he completed an MSc working with Dr. Rob Harniman and Prof. Paul May on fabricating diamond-based devices from BCP micelles. He’s now pursuing a PhD, continuing his research on diamond fabrication. In his free time, Matt enjoys going to the pub, travelling, hiking and he’s also a fully qualified skydiver. What a great guy!
