Yuetong was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, P.R.China. In August 2008 (the same month as the Olympic Games was held), he moved to Beijing for his undergraduate and then did his PhD in chemistry at Tsinghua University. His research interest is currently on the precise self-assembly of conjugated polymers and small molecules, aiming for the potential applications in optoelectronics or photonics. In leisure time, he always enjoys reading sci-fi/fantasy literature, visiting museums/galleries, and participating in any available sport such as hiking, speed-skating and badminton.
