1. Get class' full attention
allows students to hear directions
avoids having to repeat yourself
2. Keep students close to you when describing drills
again, avoids shouting and repetition
3. When demonstrating drills, have students along a line
either along a sideline or on the 18yd. line
allows then to see, watch and fully comprehend the drill
ask for questions before sending them off to perform the drill
give 3 points or cues when explaining the drill
4. Define individual or group tasks
helps runthe class smoothly and stops you from doing all the work
helps create a "team" atmosphere in the class
5. Mix the teams up if you see any strong/weak teams
allows each student the chance to play and be successful
develops social maturity by interacting with others
6. Equipment
keep unused equipment contained and away from the play
7. Space
use as much space as possible
ensure you're able to supervise each student when dealing with large areas
