Group Work Students are always on task and working well with their partner.  Students demonstrate the partner skills of mirroring, leading and following. Students are usually on task and working well with their partner.   Students usually demonstrate the partner skills of mirroring, leading and following. Students are sometimes on task and working with their partner.   Students demonstrate some of the partner skills of mirroring, leading and following. Body Awareness Students demonstrated good awareness of their own body and those of others.  Students are able to find and work within their own personal space and move safely through space without disturbing or bumping into others Students usually show an awareness of their bodies and others.  They usually manage to move safely and work in their own personal space without disturbing others. Students show some awareness of their bodies and others.  Sometimes invades others personal space or moves in an unsafe manner.  Occasionally bumps into other people during the dance. Student shows little body awareness or understanding of personal space.  Does not move through space in a safe manner and frequently bumps into others.
Movement in Time to the Beat Student always moved to the beat and always made good transitions between the different dance steps, such as moving and freezing at the correct times.  Students move into circles in a timely and orderly fashion. Student usually moved to the beat and made most transitions between steps.  Students generally move into the circles in an orderly fashion. Student is sometimes moving to the beat, and occasionally makes good transitions between steps.  Students have difficulty moving into the circles in a timely and orderly fashion. Student is rarely moving to the beat, and rarely makes good transitions between steps.  Students do not move into the circle on time or in an orderly fashion.
Dance Steps The student is able to perform all of the dance steps flawlessly on their own both by themselves and with others. Student is able to perform all of the dance steps with some assistance or que’s from the teacher, both by themselves and with others. Student can perform some of the dance steps alone.  Needs assistance to be on task with a partner. Student cannot perform most of the dance steps without significant assistance.
Body Shape Student works on a variety of levels and sized to create different shapes of either Pooh’s walking and eating honey, and Woozles sneaking and hiding. Student uses some variety of levels to create the different shapes. Student rarely uses a variety of shapes or sizes.  Maintains generally the same shapes throughout the dance. Student does not use levels or shapes when dancing creatively.
Participation Student participates enthusiastically with the entire class in all aspects of the dance.  Enthusiasm is shown through the students’ creative expressions. Student shows good general enthusiasm while working enthusiastically with the rest of the class, Student shows some enthusiasm in the dance, or in certain parts of it while working creatively with the rest of the class. Student does not participate enthusiastically in the dance and shows little effort in dancing creatively
