As part of our goal to develop a broader community network among ESL and language teachers in the Victoria area, the University of Victoria’s Applied Linguistics Program has created these information pages to inform students, faculty, and members of the community about Applied Linguistics events on and off campus.

The links on this page provide information on the following:
:
Annual Seminar Series: our free, public seminars focusing on professional development for language teaching, as part of LING 376 Seminar and Practicum in Applied Linguistics.

Calendar of Events: dates and information about lectures, seminars, and book faires hosted by the Applied Linguistics Program, as well as related information from organizations off campus.

Catalogue of Language Learning Centres and Institutions in the Greater Victoria Area. This list includes contact information on ESL and Second Language instructional organizations, ranging from ESL Schools, recreation centres, and churches. Many of these locations accept placements for our practicum students.
